WELLBEING SINGING WORKSHOPS

I offer wellbeing singing workshops designed to ease stress, reduce burnout, and gently calm the nervous system. Through breath-led vocal practices, soothing group sounding, and simple, playful singing, I create a space where people can unwind, reconnect, and feel supported.

What is a wellbeing singing workshop?

In addition to teaching vocal harmony songs, I integrate various well-being techniques into my workshops. These include breathing exercises to alleviate stress and anxiety, vocal meditation to promote relaxation and release tension in the body, and vocal improvisation to foster connection, boost confidence, and create a sense of joy and togetherness among participants.

Why does it work?

Singing is a natural anti-depressant. It has been proven to reduce stress, boost the immune system, enhance memory, and stimulate the release of the love and connection hormone oxytocin. 

Sound meditation has been used for thousands of years for healing, and is now recognised in the treatment of addiction, pain, sleep, anxiety, trauma, and depression.

Breath-work, and learning specific breathing techniques has been shown to reduce stress and anxiety, increase creativity, memory and focus, improve sleep and cardiovascular health, and athletic performance.

Connection and feeling a sense of belonging has huge benefits for our mental and physical health, including reducing the risk of heart disease, stroke, diabetes, depression, stress and cognitive decline. Loneliness and being socially disconnected has been said to be more dangerous than smoking, being obese, or not exercising.
